The mention of fruit jello brought back interesting memories of my childhood.  Namely my mother in Pennsylvania making fried green tomatoes when she had no business doing so.  The jello wasn’t the worst thing in the world.

Funny- Did she give you scrapple for breakfast too?

Today for the 4th (I'm in PA) we will have a local treat that is jello with pretzels mixed in.  It actually is pretty delicious.   Happy Independence Day to all of the Americans here!🧨

My maternal grandmother gave us scrapple for breakfast.  With syrup.  Close but not quite the same as southern liver mush.

On one sea day, the Specialty Restaurants are open for lunch with a reduced menu and price.  We really enjoy Murano for lunch on that day.  It is a three course lunch.

Other places we eat lunch include the Spa Cafe,  getting food from the buffet and eating outside, and eating in the MDR.

Open up the app and look at the dining choices, they list the hours of operation for each venue for each day of the cruise. The only thing that may be missing is a special lunch in Murano or Tuscan.

You can order the real “gobs” from Johnstown.  Way better than jello.

Thanks!  I also need Tastykakes and pies.  I used to buy on Amazon.  My partner wasn’t thrilled about the junk food.  I told him I was getting back in touch with my culture.

I tried buying a gob at an Amish shop in North Carolina.  It wasn’t a great experience.  It may have been spoiled.
