Rare Roz Posted June 6, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2023 I have a lot of OBC on my upcoming Alaskan cruise. Can I wait until I'm onboard to purchase the premium internet package? If so, where do I go to purchase it?
Rare VMax1700 Posted June 6, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2023 Yes you can wait until onboard, but it will cost you 25% more. (AFAIK it is discounted by 20% pre cruise) I think you just 'purchase' it through the app when onboard, no need to go anywhere.

Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted June 6, 2023 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2023 For an Alaska Cruise I am not sure I would bother paying extra for the Premium Internet unless you know for sure the ship has already installed Starlink. The problem with Alaska cruises and the internet that is on the ships that has not been upgraded is they are not connecting to the satellite and internet is pretty non existent. Even the ship themselves has very limited access. Your best is going to be using your cell service in ports such as Juneau and Ketchikan, Icey Point is not good at all for cell service and evern Skagway gets spotty.
