Platinum: How many free laundry for 12 day cruise?

I've been on many 14day solo cruises and have always gotten 2 free laundry.

1 free per 7 days of cruise makes logical sense.

(Can be used any 2 days)

Pre-covid, I was on a 18day cruise and got 3 free.

I'm currently on a 12day cruise.

I don't remember ever taking a 12 (or 13) day cruise because free casino cruises used to be 11 days and less.

(It's now 12days for me starting this year)

Wasn't sure that 1 bag per 6 days was the minimum or a special thing because that cruise was so long.

So I asked cruisenext.

He said it's 1bag no matter the length of the cruise because that's what the document says.

Well, that's wrong since i experienced 2free bags from last month's 14day cruise.

So what's the minimum number of days to receive a 2nd free bag of laundry?

On my recent 20-day I received 3 free bags.  Other than the general notice that goes out to everyone for the 1/2 price bags it was never mentioned.  I had already planned that if I had to pay for 1 or 2 extra bags I wasn't going to sweat it, but each time my laundry went out it came back with no charge.

With regard to the casino, my 20-day was comped.  It was an Inside, but it was comped.  Not sure if that was because I was solo, but there's a data point for you in there somewhere.

Getaway 12 days/nights this January - it was just 1 free bag for us, DW got 1 so we did 2 full (small'ish) loads free.  Cruise"Last" said 2 free bags for 14 days or 2 weeks cruise, at least on the GA.  Recent 15 nights Epic, asked and confirmed to get 2 free bags, and we didn't waste it - did 4 bags free & spread them out since we're packing & traveling light.

IMHO, see if you can get a hold of the Laundry Master in charge & ask directly.  I recall reading another CC post not long ago that someone just put 2 bags thru, both times, wrote Platinum/Sapphire, etc. on the slip & sent it out ... didn't get charged.

Worst come to worst, offset the charge from those non-refundable OBC or get CAS to write it off for you.  Happy cruising - are you close to making Ambassador soon, haha.

When I asked this question a few months ago the consensus was that it was one bag... with any extra bags being at the discretion of the Cruise Next manager.
Maybe one to raise at the Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle.

You both got a bag? Were you in the same room? My wife and I are both plat and only get 1 bag. Our next cruise is 10 days in the Haven, will we get an extra bag for that?

I've only gotten one physical bag, but the Steward gave me more.  We got two bags washed for free.  I kind of wish I would have brought the other two or three home to "pre-tape and bag" prior to our next cruise.  Maybe next time.... 😎

We're in a (standard) balcony ("same room" or cabin) on the Epic for 15 nights (4 years ago, 14 nights on the Escape) and asked at CruiseNext, it is not written and/or documented anywhere, not in the Latitudes rewards/benefits section on NCL's website.  No coupon(s) and/or voucher(s) needed - just print/write on the laundry slip that it's Platinum/Sapphire, Diamonds and they'll take care of the rest.  If we get charged somehow, just let Guest Services know & they'll reverse the charge and/or zero it out.

Ship's laundry master (manager) in charge also knows the unwritten rules (spoke to one last Spring on a different subject, and this came up) about  being "complimentary".   We always review and check our daily charges posted to our account, no surprises at the end of the cruise when the final statement was email to us (no longer routinely printed)

If it was only 2 of us, 3 small bags will usually do - even for 15 nights; plus with our SIL traveling together, we needed the extra bag to assure we have clean undies ... and, we're staying locally for 3 days post-cruise, fresh change of clothes needed.

For 10 days, I believe you will get 1 bag only, 2 bags for 2 of you (being Platinum, etc.) and not 4.  I'm not sure about Haven guests getting 1 extra bag per suite or not.  For booking a Club Balcony (mini)Suite, 1 free bag of laundry is included - logically ... nevermind, NCL's flawed logic is difficult to rationalize.  I would, in your shoes, just ask your butler or concierge about getting additional ones done on a complimentary basis (wouldn't hurt, worst answer is "sorry")  Perhaps, they'll "take care" of it for you.

Bonus tips: Haven laundry usually get a nylon/cotton bag so a liner isn't needed.  For all others, use a 10L or 13L garbage liner as inner bag, to hold all the rolled up items stuffed tightly into the thin paper bag, without worries of breaking.  We also used some of the Amazon delivery bags, it's tough & difficult to break, as insert - then roll & stuff it full.

If there is only 1 bag in the room, you have to ask your steward if you need more.  You get at least 1 bag per platinum member per cruise, clearly stated on the room card - which is NOT, as people incorrectly assume, a laundry coupon.  More than 1 bag/person varies by cruise length.
