Docking in Juneau

Hello cruising friends...when I view the ships in port for Juneau first week of september, it appears that Solstice is at dock A.  Is that AJ dock on google maps?  Is that like at least a 20 minute walk to downtown?  Does Celebrity provide transport or are there cabs?  DH is mobility challenged, and frankly, I don't want to walk that far either.  TIA

Solstice usually docks at AJ.  There is a shuttle which takes you downtown.  I think we paid $5 for the round trip. I think the walk is about a mile.

@misha1:  You are correct -- the walk is at least 20 minutes from the AJ dock to downtown.  My recollection (from last summer) also is that the shuttle fare is $5 roundtrip and is good for unlimited in number of round trips.  And yes, there are cabs but rarely is there a cab at the AJ dock waiting for a fare.  Most folks use the shuttle.

Disney docked their on our June trip. It wouldn't walk it if you have mobility issues. The surface isn't very even, and it's uphill on the way back. It doesn't look far, but you have to walk way around to actually get to the road. The shuttle for us was free. I asked, and the driver said no charge. Maybe Disney pays for it. Watch out for lines. It wasn't bad going, but we went in the afternoon after our morning excursion. On the way back, it was sprinkling and the line was huge. Looked like it would take 2-3 buses to get on. I think we would have waited about as long as it took to walk. So, just be patient and expect a wait. You can actually see it from some of the shops.
