riverrat Posted June 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2023 We would like to take the Noordam b2b from Vancouver but hesitate at the extra cost to fly direct. Flights into Seattle and Bellingham are much more reasonable from Phoenix. Really only thing holding us back is what would be the best way to get to the port? Rare Roz Posted June 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2023 I'm flying into Seattle and taking the HAL transfer.
hhoope01 Posted June 24, 2023 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2023 When we did this (about 5 years ago now), we flew into Seattle and took the train to Vancouver. It was a beautiful ride. We saw lots of nature, especially eagles. The train ride itself was one of the highlights of our whole trip.
friendswithdave Posted June 24, 2023 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2023 I took the "Quick Shuttle" a year ago. I would recommend the HAL transfer or the train.
Love the beach Posted June 24, 2023 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2023 We took the train up (loved it!) and Quick Shuttle back.
Rare Roz Posted June 24, 2023 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2023 I used to use Quick Shuttle, but their current schedule gets you to Canada Place at 2:30 and all aboard is 3:00. Don't know why they don't adjust their schedule for cruise passengers.
Rare POA1 Posted June 24, 2023 #7 Share Posted June 24, 2023 People who live in Seattle swear by the train. Someone did a little live from in May, taking the train. It sounds like a good way to go.
Rare Banditswife Posted June 24, 2023 #8 Share Posted June 24, 2023 Thanks for the info, flying into Vancouver is quite pricey. Didn't realize there was a train available.
Rare Roz Posted June 24, 2023 #9 Share Posted June 24, 2023 Where is the train station and how do you get to it from Seatac? How much does it cost and where does it drop you off in Vancouver?
hhoope01 Posted June 24, 2023 #10 Share Posted June 24, 2023 While I'm sure there are many more sites to look over, this might be helpful: https://kessiworld.com/train-from-seattle-to-vancouver/

The King Street station is at 303 South Jackson Street, corner of Fourth Avenue South. From Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, use the light rail service from the airport, the station being accessible from the northeastern corner of the airport parking garage, to the International District/Chinatown station. The trip is about 33 minutes. The Pacific Central station is at 1150 Station Street, corner of National Avenue. SkyTrain service is available at the Main Street-Science World station, across the street, to the port and other locations throughout Vancouver. Light rail service in Seattle costs 3.00 USD Amtrak service between Seattle and Vancouver costs from 34.00 USD to 82.00 USD SkyTrain in Vancouver costs 3.10 CAD

Light rail websites soundtransit.org and translink.ca, we have rode light rail in both Seattle and Vancouver. Beats waiting for taxi at Canada Place after cruise.
