I picture you saying that like Ursula from The Little Mermaid!  Is that accurate?  🤣

The buses pulled up and right when I started looking towards the restrooms, he walked up. He wasn’t even the last one to board. Another lady didn’t show up until 2. Sad. Before we got off of the bus, we had to give our liquor to the driver. I suppose they didn't want people bringing bottles of outside alcohol to the beach.  When we got back on the bus, they passed it back to everyone. I don't think I've ever had that happen before, so at first we were like "huh?" but then we got it, and it was whatever. We left Mambo at around 2:04.

Our first order of business back on the ship was to drop off the liquor that we brought. This took a long time in a long line. I waited until W was turning ours in to press for the elevator. We missed two different elevators waiting for the lady to write up his bags. We had 2 bags. It was not a lot. That should not have taken as long as it did.

We caught the third elevator that I called. We dropped off our shopping bags and went to eat. There was an empanada station over by the gelato. Yipee! I got the empanadas, fish, and some kind of pulled pork. My food was delicious. W said his didn’t taste like anything so he yeeted it, and went for GBJ. That was much better according to him.

We finished up then went to find a spot in Serenity. It was so nice up there. As soon as W and I laid down, we passed all the way out. I was so tired, I fell asleep on his backpack, like it was some kind of pitiful pillow. We woke up to the ships horn blaring at around 4:40. Back on board time was 4:30 so we were about to leave. W and I got up to watch sail away since it was our last chance for this cruise. There were quite a few peeps out there with the same idea. As I was leaning over to look at the pier, the heavy winds made me very happy that I didn’t have a wig on. It would’ve been ugly. Very ugly.

Did you drive over the bridge and see the home of the Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies?

We didn't see Ozzie's house, but they took us by Andruw Jones' house, which was beautiful. 😃

I had a reservation for Build A Bear in Camp Ocean at 5. I walked down there from Serenity. They let us in around 5:03. The Camp Ocean crew member asked everyone if they had a reservation. Some did not have one, but it was ok. They let them in anyway. It was the cutest activity and I was glad that I did it. This was my first time doing Build A Bear. First we sat down and they explained the process. We picked the heart first. There’s some stuff that we had to do with the heart  to make sure our bears would have a good life. After that we were ready to pick out our bear (they have other animals too). Next we picked out the clothes and accessories. Then we handed it over to get stuffed,  making sure that we didn’t  forget to give them the heart cuz that’s important. They sew it up next. Once the bear was stitched back up and dressed, we went back out to the front to pay. It was $29 for just the bear. The clothes that I looked at ranged from $6 to $10. I spent $49 total. I didn’t like the T shirt that I got, but that was all they had that would work. I planned to get a different one at the Build A Bear at home.

Onboard,  the lobby bar was pretty active. We saw a crew member holding a sign for muster station B3 down there. This meant that we needed to go up 1 deck to our muster station B4. W was hungry and he wanted to go straight to the Lido, but I was not having it. Muster first. Periodt.  B4 was in the casino. When we got up there, they scanned us in. Then one of the crew members said: “Do you know how to put on a life jacket?" W: “Yes” Crew member: ”You’re done”. Wait. What?  Ok then, you don’t have to tell us twice. Deuces!

I’m close to having that muster briefing beat.  I was in the Celebration on 6/25 that was delayed by the closing or the port of Miami.  Once we boarded at 9:15 PM…..yes….PM, we went to muster.   The guy scanned my card and handed it back to me and said, “thanks, you’re done.”   Ummmm….WHAT?  He said, “you’re gold…you’ve been through this before and know what you’re doing.   Thanks.”

Adios, amigo.

I checked out then I dropped my new baby bear off in the cabin.  I went back up to Serenity to join W next. I'd started a new book and I wanted to jump in to see if I was going to like it. I read for about an hour until W started getting restless. He finished a book the day before but he hadn’t started his new one yet. He said that he wanted to go to the casino to get change. We packed up and I went back to start getting ready for dinner. We had 8 o’clock reservations for the steakhouse. That was our second free steakhouse dinner.

It didn’t take us long, and we were actually ready early so I told W we should go ahead and go. They normally let us in when we get there. This was no exception. They showed us to our table when we got there around 7:45. That night it was a popular spot. All of the tables around us were occupied. There was lots of talking between tables and one lady was talking to everybody around her. It was kinda annoying, but we tuned her out.

I ordered a glass of Merlot when we sat down. I also ordered lobster bisque, filet mignon, baked potato, and the cheesecake. W ordered the Tuna Tartare, the NY Strip Loin Steak, and the Cheesecake. The appetizers came out fast. There was a noticeable wait between the apps and the entrees. Desserts were a little faster. We needed the courses to keep moving because we wanted to go to the comedy show following dinner. We ended right at 9. That gave us just enough time to go and change, then get to the Limelight Lounge.

When we got there the line was almost at the casino. We still got good seats. The comedian was Ronnie Bullard. Lots of people laughed really loud at his jokes. They seemed to like him a lot. We didn't quite agree. At all.

When it was over W and I went up to Deck 10 for the Mega Deck Party. It started maybe 10 minutes after we got up there. It was a lot of fun and I loved the dance competition at the end. Cookie did a fantastic job making sure that they had some kids in the mix. Those kids danced their hearts out. I know they slept good that night.

The party ended at the wee hour of 11:30. We walked back thru the Marketplace to get drinks to take back to the cabin. While we were walking, we passed this couple arguing about a vacuum cleaner and how much stitches cost on a cruise, like a couple of mental patients. They were also trying to engage other people in this ridiculous discussion, but W and I ain’t falling for that okey doke. We didn’t even make eye contact, and we didn’t so much as acknowledge their presence. We just kept it moving.  Cuz huh? This goes to show. Carnival just be outchea letting anybody on these here fun ships.

When we got back, I stayed in the cabin reading until bedtime. W went to the casino. He wanted to go with BG, but he was asleep already so W went it alone.

Before I fell asleep I said a prayer thanking God for the ibuprofen that I took to keep my knees from locking up after all of that dancing. That stuff works like magical unicorn dust on these bones. God cares.

Now this I wanna see! 🥳🥳

The kids told me they did this in high school over 10 years ago. They didn’t laugh, didn’t groan, maybe rolled their eyes, BUT did not say, “don’t do that in public”! Game on…

Success!!! 😆 You're doing it right if the kids won't disown you in public!

That water is just heart-breakingly gorgeous!! 🤩

Every port on this itinerary had beautiful water. I was so sad that I had to leave it behind. 🏖️🏖️🏖️

Summer just arrived here this week and looking at Mambo beach in your pics makes me want to swim in the ocean! Won't be until September when I cruise on the Mardi Gras... luckily we have a very large very clear blue lake nearby lol!
