Does MSC monitor Cruise Critic or other social media sites?

Just curious. I know other cruise lines do. You would think, with the nice Meet and Mingle get togethers that they host, someone might actually be reading the boards as well?

Probably not, MSC has had the same customer service and IT issues for years. And now with all the Interlopers in the YC,

where will it end?

Yes they'll have automated social listening platforms like most large companies where AI will detect positive and negative sentiment across social channels.

However if you think someone from MSC religious reads CC you'd be wrong.

My butler had no clue as to why she was escorting me to the pub that was closed. Explaining that a group of people on the same booked on the same cruise who met online and didn't know each other wanted to meet was strange to her. I didn't ask to be escorted she saw me and Mrs. Brighton leaving our cabin and asked where we are going, you know you can't stop a butler from providing a service even if you try.

Okay a single butler on an MSC ship is no real proof of anything, just enjoyed watching her reaction when we got to the pub and she asked other people questions as to why they are doing this.

We find it strange as well, unless it was a CC "meet and greet." All the butlers were familiar with those pre covid.  Today, not so much with these new recruits. We got on board and we were not on the CC "meet and greet" list and could not gain entry to the Brooklyn Cafe so we went back to the YC and asked our butler who escorted us down again and had us 'crash' the party. Best cake on the ship.

I've only gone to one, our first cruise with MSC on Seaside. I even dragged my husband, and he was pretty impressed with the cake with the Cruise Critic logo, the drinks and presence of officers. Then everyone got a group picture of the event. Simple touches, but definitely left an impression.

As far as I heard MSC has not brought back sponsored CC meet and greet. This was informal hence the pub wasn't open point to meet and kick off the cruise. Slot pull and left/right/center game (a few) were planned activities but that might have been that other sites groups thing. Get confused especially when alcohol is involved.

MSC has not brought back the CC Meet & Greet as of end of May on the Meraviglia.

As for who is reading what on CC, someone is looking at different things. It depends on where you're posting and what you're saying as to if they identify you or not. Most of the posts are anonymous on here so that keeps them guessing as to who everyone is unless you do something on the ship that causes them to link you to it. (They also can get the room numbers from the Cruise Critic reviews and match it that way depending on what you put for info in your reviews.)
