Boston - Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

I am interested in visiting the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. What is the best transportation to get there? Bus, taxi?

Uber or Lyft-- its about a 15-20 min ride from the terminal. There aren't a ton of taxis in Boston anymore and they will be sparse out there coming back so I would use Uber.

Somewhere in the $16-18 range each way.

From the cruiseport?  I'd expect the fair to be quite a bit higher than that.

 

You can go to the Uber app anytime to get a current estimate of the price.

Which I did-- that estimate came direct from Uber.

That is surprising to me.  Did you do this during rush hour?  Or on the holiday?

 

I lived in Boston for 50 years and have a general idea of taxi and uber fares.  And they are always higher than my estimate!  🙂

Check the reviews at TripAdvisor.  It is very highly regarded.

 

I don't have the Old Town map handy, if you do you can probably use google maps to find the distance.
