travelgirl45 Posted July 8, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2023 Has anyone had a cabin with balcony on Marina deck.? We have always done Aloha but guess we booked late and no cabin available so they put us on Marina. Really concerned about noise above us. Mostly public areas. Very disappointed and Princesss is of no help.
nini Posted July 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2023 What ship? Can you not book your own cabin? What else is available?
Rare Essiesmom Posted July 9, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2023 What do you expect Princess to do? If there are no cabins available in your preferred, what can they do? You booked late. It is what it is. EM
SargassoPirate Posted July 9, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2023 I avoid cabins that do not have other cabins above, below, and across the corridor. That being said, I would get my TA involved and find another balcony cabin in a better location.
kiwimum Posted July 9, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 9, 2023 What ship are you looking at? We recently sailed on the Discovery on Marina deck, forward, with absolutely no issues.
Thrak Posted July 9, 2023 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2023 Never on Marina but we once did 15 days on Star Princess in an Aloha deck cabin that was directly beneath the "barstool area" of the forward bar on Lido deck. We were told we would hear constant chair scraping in the mornings, loud music from MUTS, and lots of noise from the pool area right there. Nope. We had a wonderful cruise with absolutely zero issues from our location. Perhaps we were just lucky but it made us take all the warnings with a healthy dose of salt after that. echoshipmate Posted July 9, 2023 #7 Share Posted July 9, 2023 We spent 35 days in a Marina deck cabin, no issues at all, but we checked a ship deck plan before so we knew exactly what was above us and it was a men's restroom just as you entered the buffet area, do there are great cabins on Marina, just check it out if you have any choice. Without looking at deck plans, I'm guessing that is true on all Royal Class ships. Edited July 9, 2023 by capriccio
