lasnev Posted July 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2023 Wanting to do the ho ho bus in Barcelona but struggling on which one to pick. Any experience with either Barcelona City Tour Bus or Barcelona Bus Turistic? Thanks You!
Rare Harters Posted July 11, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2023 Both run basically the same routes and charge the same prices. We used the Turistic a couple of weeks back - only because we came to them first in Plaza Catalunya. It was fine. We treated it as a city sightseeing tour for a couple of hours, only hopping off at the Miro Museum (but then we've been to Barcelona for long weekends before, so know the main sights).
Rare mskaufman Posted July 17, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2023 We have used Turistic multiple times and they are good.
Shalandara Posted July 22, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2023 About how long is the entire route for the HOHO? A suggestion I had from another forum/thread was to do the HOHO the day we landed in Barcelona (after dropping off bags at the Hotel) and just ride the entire circuit to get a feel for the city (and recover from the airplane flights). Then the next day do the more in-depth tourist stuff for the specific things we want to see/do. Now it is looking like flights are getting in mid-afternoon instead of around noon -- so not certain if we will have enough time to do a full circuit ride or not.
Rare mskaufman Posted July 22, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2023 Bus Turistic has two routes. Last year we spent several hours using a combined route. 1

TwistedB Posted July 26, 2023 #7 Share Posted July 26, 2023 Is there a charge for these buses? And if you hop off at a point of interest, how long usually until one comes the opposite direction to take you back? We won't have a ton of time but would still like to see a LITTLE before boarding the ship 🙂
Rare Harters Posted July 26, 2023 #8 Share Posted July 26, 2023 Yes, there's a charge. Different options with different prices, so check out their websites to see what suits for you. The most basic (just the bus) is €29.70. They run in a circular route, rather than in two directions. So, once you've hopped off, go back to the bus stop and wait for one to come along. They run at 15 - 20 minute intervals and, as I mentioned earlier, the circuit takes a couple of hours.
