Vatxal Posted July 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2023 Our time in port , Oct. 25, does not align with viewing high or low tides in the Bay of Fundy. Is the area worth an all day excursion without being able be there at high or low tide? Is the coastal drive worth the trip by itself? TIA
BklynBoy8 Posted July 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2023 We were on a ship excursion and was disappointed.
shipgeeks Posted July 15, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2023 I'm planning to take the HOHO bus circuit while in Saint John. It includes Bay of Fundy; if it's interesting at that time, fine, if not, there will be other sights along the way.
Rare LHT28 Posted July 15, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2023 sometimes you barely notice the tides changing I would not worry too much Find something you are interested in & do that if you make it to the the spot when the tides change fine but not to worry about it JMO
mets123 Posted July 16, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 16, 2023 In mid tides, you would not notice anything. At best you would need about two hours to see everything. Any more time would be overkill.
zebra36 Posted July 21, 2023 #6 Share Posted July 21, 2023 Dramatic tidal flows do not seem to occur when tours in Oct. are run and I would not care to pay to do one of those to look at the tidal basin with nothing going on flow wise. Will probably just explore the town on my own. 1
