sandancer Posted August 2, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2023 All of our previous flights with P&O have been charters where you put your luggage tags on before the flight as you don’t see the bags again until you are on the ship. Our next flight is a schedule with Jet2. As I understand it we have to collect our bags at the destination airport (Malta) and take them with us to the ship where we would check them in as we would at Southampton. That’s when the luggage tags are needed. Is this right?

That is what we usually do, we once had the ships ones come off during transit, which isn't surprising the way they sometimes throw the cases about. We have since bought heavy duty sleeves that are attached using a short steel cable which are much better plus then you don't need a full A4 sheet for each label. That is where I got mine, I then cut the section of the luggage label with the info on and paste it to a new document and get 5 labels on one A4 sheet.
sandancer Posted August 2, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted August 2, 2023 Hmmm. Sounds a bit more than my tech skills but I’ll give it a go when the time comes.
purplesea Posted August 2, 2023 #6 Share Posted August 2, 2023 (edited) I just fold the A4 sheets to fit inside my luggage label sleeves. So my name, etc shows on side but the cruise details and cabin are visible on both sides. Edited August 2, 2023 by purplesea

Yes, just take the printed copies with you and then at Malta when you take them to the coach you can attach them to the bags there as the P&O staff their will have staplers to secure them.
