Hilton Barbados Resort - Resort Pass

I've got plenty of time for research so I'm taking advantage! 😁  I don't sail until March 2025 so I'm trying to get ideas on what to do for me and my boyfriend as well as my sister and her boyfriend.

I found a website that offers day passes for various resorts everywhere!  One of the resorts is the Hilton Barbados Resort.  Has anyone taken advantage of the day pass and stayed at this property?  How was it?  Would you recommend?  I'm seeing mixed reviews on the day pass website, so I figured I'd ask here.

Thanks for all the help.

Went once, with a couple met in a cruise who sung its praises, who invited us to join them.  Never again!  Not genteel.  But many cruisers visit, so it must have an attraction for them.

Okay, if one is seeking an AI day out, paying North of $100 pp, then consider a special day sailing on

Elegance

https://www.elegancebarbados.com

Or

Silver Moon.

https://silvermoonbarbados.com

Note the maximum number of pax per Cat. allowed and what’s included.

Note to self “Book very early”.

One considers these far batter value than a Hotel AI

Port Royal, you are a font of information!  Thank you!  Don't be surprised if I "hit" you up several more times during my research.  I've got to put a 3 ring binder together with tabs for each port so I can send to my sister.  😁

The several times we have been there on a day pass, it was perfectly fine!

March 2024 - Did the Hilton Barbados Day-Pass

Took a taxi from the cruise port area. $15 for 2 of us. Taxi to return was $20 (?)

Check-in & wristbands are at the gym located bottom level beachside. Use of gym not included w/ Day-Pass. $110 per person but does include a $30 food credit. Covers an average lunch on the menu at their convenient beachside bar & grille. Service & food were very good!

Beautiful beach & multiple pool areas were ideal for hanging out. Perfect sand & waves to play in.

Plenty of chairs/umbrellas to choose from on beach or at pool areas. Large clean change room/restrooms located adjacent to pools. Didn't encounter any wildlife all day but prior to leaving came face-to-face with a monkey near the changing rooms. Looked down for my camera & by the time I looked up it was nowhere in sight. Maybe watch your food if in a chair near that area. We couldn't decide which of Barbados' 80 beaches we wanted to go to but at end of day we were extremely happy with our choice to experience the Hilton.

Chip. - what time did you arrive at the Hilton.   We are going next month and our ship arrives at 7am.  Do you know when you can access the facilities at the Hilton   Thanks

@PORT ROYAL do you know if either of these cat cruise companies change their departure time based on when the cruise ships come in?  The Viva (10am arrival) is in port with the Resillient Lady and Costa Fortuna (both of these arrive at 8am).  In looking at the websites, Elegance sails at 9:30am and Silver Moon sails at 9am.  Hoping so, because sailing on either of those cats would be so much better than a similar excursion that NCL offers.

Of course with the other 2 ships arriving 2 hours before Viva, Elegance & Silver Moon will probably be sold out anyway, but might be worth taking a chance anyway.

The sailing times are set…..

The cat companies are not reliant solely on cruise pax.  Their custom is predominantly from residents, residents entertaining private guests, VIPs, Governments, local businesses and staycations.

Whatever one wishes to sail with, do book very early, because 12 pax (max) takes no time to book/fill.

Know of so many cruisers who “like”, then just think about it for a while.  Go back in later to book, only to find “all gone”, then think it’s strange that so many cruisers have taken the space on the Cat. they wanted……. It’s not cruisers who are the majority who book, it’s all the pre mentioned who want it more, and act.

Note to self…. Book early, repeat, book early.

Enjoy.

Addendum….

For those arriving later, these have a 10 am sailing

Cat operators are nothing to do with Cruise Lines, they are totally independent.  Neither are Cats reliant on Cruise ship pax boookings.

As an aside…. Think about how much business is discussed, and done, while onboard a Cat.. Just taking a Cat for the Lunch, drinks, ambience, conversations, etc., with little, or no interest in snorkelling

etc..

Thank you! I was afraid of that. I did notice Calypso's 10am sailing, but since we don't arrive till 10, I'm not sure that would work either. I'll have to email them and find out for sure.

I can get a similar excursion thru NCL for $49/person, but they are going to be much larger, 90 minutes shorter, and with no food! So I really hope Calypso can acommodate us.

Good luck…

Similar?  - Think the only similarity is “On a Cat”, everything else is miles apart…

A thought….
One personally charters a Cat for an upmarket lunch, drinks, snorkel etc.. for 12 pax.   Then share/sell 10 spots to NCL pax on one’s cruise on various chat sites, including CC.  This way, one will have a Cat sail at the time required, being after 10.30 am, with the best food drinks, and ambience.
