By next march check if MTR tourist pass is still available, print a copy of the tourist pass page and show it to the MTR station Center Service staff when making the purchase. Also check Kai Tak Cruise Terminal webpage for any latest shuttle information. I will visit HK  in early March on Celebrity Millen, will let you know where about the Kwun Tong MTR  Customer Service Center for your tourist card.

The Japanese ports mostly can be DIY.

I put it on the spreadsheet, involves a lot of walking with at least 2 public transit rides. If you can think of anything please add it!

The cruise schedule is updated on a regular basis, however is subject to change at any time.
The date published is subject to change based on vessel schedule changes..

The best viewing locations  are the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront outside the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and the Avenue of Stars, the promenade at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wanchai, and from sightseeing ferries in the Victoria Harbour.

What transit??  Royal Princess will dock at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal on April 19th 7:00am, shuttle will start at 7:15am

Option 1: If Free Coach (Route B) available. From Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, get off a MTR Admiralty Station, purchase tourist Pass from Admiralty Station Customer center. From Admiralty Station take Tsuen Wan Line (towards Central) or Island Line (towards Kennedy Town), one stop, exit at Central station. 

Option 2:  If Free Bus (Citybus 20R) available. From Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, get off at The Peninsula HK Hotel stop. MTR Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) station EXIT L3 and L4 located between Peninsula Hotel and Kowloon Hotel. Purchase tourist Pass from TST Station Customer center. From TST Station take Tsuen Wan Line (towards Central), two stop, exit at Central station. 

 

Do your HK side tour which will ends at MTR Sheung Wan station. Either ride the Ding Ding (tram, accept VISA payment) or MTR to Central station, walk to Central Star Ferry Pier harbor crossing to

Kowloon TST.

If Tsim Sha Tsui and  Admiralty shuttles are not available then take free bus shuttle from Kai Tak cruise terminal to MTR Kwun Tong station. The Customer Service Centre located on EXIT A side, side with ticket machines and the Automated external defibrillator (AED) device box.

Basically, in all MTR stations, AED is near the Customer Centre, there are signages

Vendors open from noon till 11:30pm. Nearest MTR Station - "MONGKOK" and take MTR Exit D2 or D3, walk east on Argyle street to Tung Choi Street. Sneakers Street  (Fa Yuen Street)  parallel with Ladies Market, known worldwide for its vast selection of sportswear & sneakers. ( I bought a pair of runners with local price not tourist price with help from my cousin 🤑).

We are scheduled to pull into Kai Tak on Sunday, March 10, 2024.  Would like to get to Hong Kong Park and the Botanical Gardens.  Does anyone know what the easiest way is to get there?  Take the Ferry or a subway over?  Looks like the closest MTR stations are Admiralty Station and the Peak Tram.  Thanks in advance.

To get there:  take the free coach to APM shopping Mall (Kwun Tong MTR stn). 
       a) Kwun Tong Line to Kowloon Tong Stn; change East Rail Line to Admiralty Station.
       b) Kwun Tong Line to Mong Kok Stn; change Tsuen Wan Line to Admiralty Station.
       c) Kwun Tong Line to Yau Tong Stn; change Tseung Kwan O Line to North Point, change to                     Island  Line to Admiralty station.

           Travel time:35 min     fare: HK $15.50

 

If no free coach available, take KMB bus 5R to Kwun Tong MTR station  travel time: 15 min  

 fare: HK $7.70
