zoo & caves

Is it possible to do the zoo and crystal caves in a port stop from 8:00 - 3:00? Would you suggest ferry or bus?

I would pick only one, the caves because of your schedule. What month are you sailing and what day of the week? I would suggest ferry and then a taxi because of your schedule.

We are there in early November on a Wednesday.

Re the Caves, keep in mind that the cruise lines may book up available slots. The folks at the Caves said people on their own should reserve a spot before going out there, to ensure that they get in.  This was a couple of years ago.

A ferry to Hamilton and a taxi would be fastest but you could take a bus. I would go to the caves early and see if you have time for the zoo on the way back to Hamilton.

How much time should be allotted to take Ferry and Taxi to get to caves ?

Some ferries to Hamilton take 20 minutes and some take 30 minutes. A taxi from Hamilton to the Caves takes about 25 minutes. Alternativly if the Orange Route is running or you are NCL a ferry to St. George takes 45 minutes and a taxi to the Caves takes about 15  minutes.
