Strudel pastry doesn’t look quite right.

Poutine is new to me on a Cunard menu.

Is it the dough? I didn't feel like the dough was correct. It had an odd flavor.

First time trying poutine not sure how it compares to an authentic Canadian poutine but it was good and worth a try.

Put my $5 free play into one hand ok video poker and busted out 🙄.

I've never seen this in writing before even though I knew it to be true.

Cruise ship casinos follow all gambling laws set forth by Nevada. They are set to a lower payback I'm sure but there is no manual adjusting going on when a machine is deemed to be too hot or no other unfair practices that people swear happen because they are unregulated. They are, in fact, regulated.

Enjoy what's left of your last evening on board and thanks again for all your posts.

Thank you. My night is about over. I'm not one of those trying to squeeze every last minute out of their cruise. I'm in the room chilling out so that hopefully I can get a good night's sleep.

I have enjoyed following your journey more than you can imagine. Your open-minded attitude is an example to us all. Thank you very much.

Glad to do it. Variety is the spice of life. I probably wouldn't be so open minded if I was limited to one or two trips a year, I am blessed to be able to try new things. I was very apprehensive going in, but it ended up exceeding all expectations.

Thanks so much for following along.

I couldn’t have said it better. I really enjoyed this review and seeing Cunard through a different set of eyes.

I even may consider Cunard in the future (especially if the same type of deal was available) before this review I didn’t have them on my mind.  The only thing that stuck with me was earlier in the cruise OP was ignored and others got served before him -why?  Another poster was on a first Cunard with her female friend and same type of situation happened to her, again why?  Who knows.

I'm going to touch on it in detail in a later post, but I had a lot of issues like that in the dining room. That was the only time I could see the waiter ignoring me, but I repeatedly observed tables around me being served while I waited for my next course. Water refilled at nearby tables and none offered to me despite an empty glass.

I have a theory that it was because of the amount of food I ordered. The waiter commented each night on how much I ordered and I witnessed them making dirty looks at my mother when she ordered extra food. I could also hear whispers among the waiters while they stared at us. That part could be paranoia, but the wait staff seemed completely put off by our eating habits.

With the exception of the whitebait, I did not waste anything save a small bite here or there.

I'd still say give them a shot! And hold your head high when you order that second dinner 🙂

While I find it incomprehensible that anyone could cope with two main courses, that is me. In any case it is completely unacceptable that the crew should appear to regard you with disdain. I hope you don’t intend to give them an extra gratuity.

I did not. I left them on, as I consider that part of the cost of the cruise but I did not reach into my wallet for any extra.

I wish I could be full from one main course I wouldn't have to have the scale yell at me every day 🙂. Even when I'm counting calories and eating responsibly I'm certainly never full 😄

I think it is a matter of age. When I was in my twenties, I was always hungry, and could eat and eat without putting on weight. Now, I’m still often hungry, but feel sated much sooner. Needless to say, I have never counted calories or even weighed myself. I do the skirt test. If I can do up the zip, it is good.

I think that is fair enough. I would have left the autograft on, but certainly not given extra, which I often do, when the waiters in QG have been lovely, as when I knocked over a nearly full bottle of red wine…

I can pass the zip test. The button test 😮 We won't talk about that

That is alcohol abuse.
