elaine5 Posted September 14, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2023 C&A points--are cruises prior to 2011 counted as # days+1? What about for a 3 or 4 day cruise? I read somewhere that prior to 2011, we got 7 days+1 point? I've got 2 little 3-4 day cruises, and if that's the case, it's not reflected in the conversion. It would push us into the next level. Also, will C&A desk recalculate it for us via phone, or is there somewhere I send an email? Thanks, Elaine
Rare moposh Posted September 14, 2023 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2023 It's based on nights, not days. If you go on a 3 night cruise, you get 3 points.
elaine5 Posted September 14, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted September 14, 2023 Sorry, meant nights. Question is do the prior 2011 cruises up to 7 days all get 7 points+1 extra point? I read elsewhere on CC that this is how C&A calculated them.

Yes a lot of rcl cruisers took the shortest cruises on the oldest ships back then to get a full week credit for doing 3 day cruises. I was in texas and wasnt easy as we had a 7 day ship. Yes its true. Edited September 14, 2023 by firefly333

Two short cruises taken prior to 2011 would convert to 15 points (7+7 +1)

Thanks, Elaine Until Jan 1, 2003 it was 1 credit per cruise no matter the stateroom category or length of cruise. After Jan 1, 2003, an extra credit was given for cruises of 12 days or longer. After Jan 1, 2004, an extra credit was given for cruises in a JS or better. Conversion Jan 21, 2011 Conversion from old cruise credits to cruise points: If credits were 1-4, points = credits * 7 + 1 If credits were 5-7, points = credits * 7 + 3 If credits were > 7, points = credits * 7 + 13 Double points for solo started Oct 2013 2

soremekun Posted September 14, 2023 #10 Share Posted September 14, 2023 I don't understand why it wasn't 1pt per night in the conversion and the usual additions for suites and solo. Are the records unavailable?
elaine5 Posted September 14, 2023 Author #11 Share Posted September 14, 2023 Using above math (3X7) + 1 extra point=22, plus my post 2011 cruises is 56 points, which is what C&A shows. Thanks for insight. Weird though, a 7 night (from last year) that's counted in that 56 doesn't show up, and DH is at only 49 points with that 7 night (as well as all others) showing up. Grandfather status. Remain at status until next status achieved by acquiring requisite points.
