Skeet off the ship

When I shot trap(not skeet) off of the premiere line ship Atlantic in 1989 the shot(not pellets or bb's) was Stainless steel not lead. SS steel shot was used over water because it is environmentally safe.  The clay that the pigeons were made from I am not sure of but clay is found naturally in nature so that may be OK also.  The only impact on nature would have been if a spent shell was to fall overboard as they were made from brass(not bad) and plastic.
