Is there a good time to order Free at Sea Plus?

I am probably interested in adding Free at Sea + to our cruise (Aug 2024). 

Does the price for this vary, over time, and is there a best time to add it to my reservation?

If you are sure you want it, you should add it now ! 

I'm pretty sure the price will increase in the next year.

You can call to add it to your reservation and not pay for it before final payment.

If you add it by yourself online in your cart, you need to pay immediately.

Whenever you are ready to purchase.  The price does not change.

My normal response is that there is never a good time to buy FAS+. Just keep the free offers and be happy. 

 

There is a good chance of a price increase in the next year. Book it if you want it.

The price doesn’t vary, but there may be a price increase.

Thanks to all that replied.  I'm used to Royal where the price of the drink packages change daily.

The earlier the better.  Prices can always increase.  Conversely, if they change something in the package you can always cancel.  I usually spread my cruise expenses out so I don't have one big bill but otherwise there's no science to it.

The price does change if your web/app interface uses your local currency rather than USD, I held off on making some bookings waiting for the € to strengthen against the $ so it worked out a bit cheaper. The US$ price doesn’t change dynamically but the foreign exchange rate does.

I just want to point out that if you have OBC's you wish to use, you will need to wait until you are on board.  It appears you cannot use OBC's if you add it prior to boarding, only a credit card.

But you can't upgrade to FAS+ on board, as far as I know. You can purchase some of the individual upgrades (P+ beverage package, unlimited wifi), but you can't get the whole discounted bundle.

This is correct based on my experience. Buy the package you want now. The price isn't going down. Certainly not once you board the ship.
