smokeybandit Posted October 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2023 There are multiple channels that could have games.

Billy Baltic Posted October 9, 2023 #9 Share Posted October 9, 2023 We were on Explorer in August and the only place that consistently showed sports was the Tavern.
cruiseguy1016 Posted October 9, 2023 #10 Share Posted October 9, 2023 Explorer does not have a "Sports" bar. But, you should be able to find the game on TV in other bars. Another place that hasn't been recommended yet is the casino bar. If you can tolerate the casino smoke, you can sit at the bar there to watch the game. ajtaylor29 Posted October 9, 2023 #11 Share Posted October 9, 2023 We were on Explorer 2 weeks ago. The Tavern (next to the casino on deck 4) was playing NFL games. Remember with the time change that the games will be late night! The Sunday we boarded I started asking about where i could catch the Cowboy game, i was told in the Tavern "no, we're only showing World Cup". I decided i would just have to miss the game and went on about my evening. Then, walking thru late night on the way to the casino, and there was the Cowboy game (plus one other game)! I'm not sure why someone didn't tell me earlier that they'd be on late but glad i found it eventually!
neverbeenhere Posted October 9, 2023 #12 Share Posted October 9, 2023 Navigator Suite and Quantum Diamond have TVs and play sports. (But, you've got to get your hands on the almighty CLICKER)
Bennyboats28 Posted October 9, 2023 #13 Share Posted October 9, 2023 I just got off the Explorer this Sunday. Although not directly related to your question I'm a rugby fan and wanted to watch the world cup on the ship. There was only one channel called sport24 but it did not show all of the matches as this channel would share the coverage with other sports so you are at the mercy of other sports. You could watch this in your stateroom or in the sports bar on deck 4. There was 2 other US sports channels but I think they just showed college football. Hope this helps 🙂

When I was on board, I got the impression they didn’t know what was coming on. They just left on sports channels and what ever came on, came on.
Armac Posted October 9, 2023 #15 Share Posted October 9, 2023 My understanding is the NFL feed is controlled by head office, the ship has no control over which games are on. One ship we sailed (can't remember which one) had NFL red zone on the big screen by the Pool
cruiseguy1016 Posted October 10, 2023 #16 Share Posted October 10, 2023 We cruise quite often during the NCAA basketball tournament. I have asked the bartenders to change a TV to a specific game that I wanted to watch and most times they have accommodated me. I think I have also asked about NFL games.
