Woke up without alarm 4:20am. Its cruise day!

Looked out window and 18 floors below the 99 cents pizza joint is still hopping.

Big day yesterday included unexpectedly seeing hoards of teen/twentysomething women taking each others picture right across where we parked in the village. It was on a side street near Bleecker and it was fascinating. They were soooooooo excited and full of energy, every single one.

We were just hunting for pizza but my buddy was smart enough to google the address.

Taylor Swifts FORMER apartment.

It was very cool seeing the pure joy on all their faces. Life wasnt giving out lemons Friday!

Johns pizza was solid.  I ttok this photo.

15 mins from curb to gangway. Muster in casino took another 5 mins.

3 of 4 suitcases delivered by 130pm.  Corona and water was delivered to cabin as well.  Corona now in the chiller...hope it gets cold by sailaway.

Mah big suitcase is the straggler this sailing.

Had a small lunch at the buffet.  Best meatball lasagna ive had on ccl.

Like the ship. Rooooooooough first night in casino.  Very busy, almost no machines available. We got 2 side by side and stuck it out. She broke even, im down a bill and a half.

Drink service slow but understandable for first night heavy volume.

The nyc skyline sailaway is awe inspiring.

The verrazano bridge pass was cool but not as impressive as tampa's sunshine bridge pass.

I just got taken out in movie trivia, fair and square.  Hat tip to the elderly gentleman who won.

(Went to college for tv, radio, film decades ago. Im tough in the 1960-2005 range.  This focused on 40s 50s 60s. I would have tied had i remembered Grapes of Wrath author or real tycoon Citizen Kane was based upon. Ha!)

Went with striped bass and lobster tail.  Solid.  Really enjoying the lunch buffet and mdr dinners.

Casino is by far the busiest ive ever seen at seat.  Every slot occupied most of the time,  smokers section definitely had a good cig/hour consumption ratio.

Saw the Bengals 430 game at the heroes bar.  Another full venue, most were not ordering drinks. Freeloaders!

Got going by walking 2 miles to offset this not so sensible breakfast

Day 3 highlight Teppanyaki! Highly recommended.  Best at sea we have had, not even close.

Was able to get E H Taylor in casino DOU.

Had great time in corner of casino with group of ladies who didnt know each other. EVERYBODY WINS!!!

Pro tip: three shrimp vs nice size lobster tail makes lobster the thing to get as winning hibachi combo meal option.

Under two weeks to go.

We are checked in, will print docs and tags later today and place in a travel folder.

.ordered magnetic hooks for cabin. It seemed like a good idea at the time but all i can think to hang is my ballcap.

I thought about ordering magnetic hooks too, but I couldn't think of a single thing that I would hang on there.  I've not missed having them in the past so I decided to skip it.

Dominica Day

Couldnt agree/decide on excursion so we are winging it.  Looks like a very pretty morning.

Just learned the East Caribbean dollar is roughly 3 per US dollar. Thats good to know.  I remember seeing one restaurant menu where vegeterian alfredo dish was $40 (didnt disclose ECD)
