Royal Caribbean credit card points....do I have enough time to get OBC?

Recommended Posts

Just redeemed my points and it took just a couple of days. The question that I had was - how long does it take to go from charges, to payments to points that can be redeemed. If you are charging one month, paying the next month when do the points show for redemption. Is there a lag time between payment and points?

The points show up on your statement closing date and you can redeem them likely the next day.

You can request them through the website but should call to get them to push them through if you're getting close to the date you want to use them. ESPECIALLY if you want to spend them in the Cruise Planner which will close 48 hours before your departure date.

OP doesn't even have the card yet

I got my card number, applying online, instantly. They give you a number right on the spot with your instant approval to use until your card comes in. I had the minimum spend covered almost immediately too.  I simply put $1000 on the card paying down a cruise I already had booked.  The points were applied to my account on statement date 28 days later.  They still have time.
