Low sodium diet offerings

I have been looking into the special diet offerings available on Carnival.  They mention low carb, sugar, fat, or cholesterol.  Has anyone had any success working with the culinary team on low sodium options?  I would appreciate any info on what you have been able to do to help stay on track without eating plain salads every meal.  Thanks in advance.

Great question. 

 

I try to minimize sodium intake except when im splurging (Guyburger, teppanyaki, etc) but ive never formally requested low sodium entrees.

I think your best bet would be in the MDR or specialty restaurants and ask which foods can be prepared without salt. 

 

Pretty sure you are going to be SOL at the buffet, except for perhaps the omelet station.

You'd really need to work closely with special needs and/or the Menu Mate for this, because many of Carnival's foods are quite high in sodium.

The dressing are high sugar and salt content . They have Super salads but chek with matrde .lunch Lido

My husband had to be on a low sodium

diet. I talked to the maitre d first day. They actually brought around a special LS menu the night before and had him make his selection for next nights dinner.
