Rare LACruiser88 Posted November 13, 2023 Author #151 Share Posted November 13, 2023 The extra entree tonight in the Reserve dining room was Steak Diane. They also had a fresh strawberry and cream appetizer. The Waiter joked that it should be for dessert. I had the Vegetable Korma as a second course, it was delicious!

Pepes Pal Posted November 13, 2023 #153 Share Posted November 13, 2023 BTW, here is another hurdle now for me to be concerned with 😬 : https://www.aol.com/thanksgiving-shutdown-sets-nightmare-scenario-110000433.html We are flying out of LAX nonstop to Rome on Wed the 22nd. I couldn't leave any sooner as work does get in the way! Princess arranged the flight & transfer with EZ air so we'll see. Fingers crossed. 🤞 Judy
vickie_bernie Posted November 13, 2023 #154 Share Posted November 13, 2023 Yee us too with laundry, put it in last night. It was here in the cabin tonight. Excellent. We also washed some items in the laundry and the machine ate a coin so we paid twice. Went to guest services and they were great, gave us two tokens. We said it ate only one and they said that is ok, you were nice so here is two.

I was curious where the Suite breakfast would be held after the recent renovation on Enchanted, since Sabatini's (the normal venue) was moved up into the former Bistro Sur LeMer location and The Catch by Rudi into Sabatini's spot. We will be looking forward to this when we are on the TA in 9 more days!

Since you have spoiled us with pics from Suite Breakfast, I assume you have received ‘special’ invite to partake so as not to confused readers who may not know, your Reserve Class Mini Suite does not entitle you to this benefit. I know you missed out being able to celebrate ‘750’ days milestone on previous sailing which would have extended ‘suite’ breakfast on that sailing, as you know, Princess has discontinued the milestone recognition. As I explained in a past thread, last year when Princess knew they were discontinuing the milestone recognition, on some ships depending on when you booked, they protected this ‘celebration’ and granted on a subsequent sailing, so hoping maybe this is the case for you or you have an ‘inside’ connection. Enjoy! And looking forward to seeing you both on another Princess ship. 1

No, the train station is a 15 minute city bus (or taxi) away from the shuttle drop off.

Rare LACruiser88 Posted November 15, 2023 Author #170 Share Posted November 15, 2023 This morning we left the ship at 9:00 am and took the free shuttle to the center of Livorno. As we exited the free shuttle, the below tour company was selling three separate bus/tour options. #1- To Pisa #2- To Pisa & Florence #3- To Florence We choose the bus to Florence, 39€ pp, and made the 9:30 departure. There was at least one prior departure. Because there were two ships dropping off passengers at the same location it was quite hectic and I was not able to find out the cost of the other two tours. The ride to Florence took 90 minutes each way. Our scheduled return directly to the ship was 5 pm. All onboard for the ship was 6 pm. Once you arrive in Florence you have two options. You can stay with the guide for a walking directed tour or go off on your own. We went off on our own. The bus left Florence for Livorno at 3:30. The drop off/pickup location was a 5 minute walk north of the Florence train station. This was a very convenient spot. The location is at the top left of the map marked in green. We had a very nice sunny, warm day. Debbie got her shopping fix. And I got to shop for vino at the Grand Central Market. We also had lunch at our favorite Trattoria, right around the corner from the Grand Central Market. We shared a Caprese salad and pizza. The view from our table inside the restaurant. The two new members of our omboard wine club!

How was the humidity in Genoa and Livorna this time of year?? I imagine that it's also much cooler than June...lol...

This is great information because we will be embarking Enchanted Princess for the 15 day Transatlantic Cruise on November 23rd, from Civitavecchia, Italy to Ft Lauderdale, Fl, December 8th. We will arrive in Rome a few days earlier so that we can visit the historical sites. Thank you so much for sharing your travel log! 3
Toottoot22 Posted November 15, 2023 #174 Share Posted November 15, 2023 Thank you for the info…… is there a website where we could view the info on the three different routes, Pisa, Florence or Pisa/Florence. Also is it better to use money( euros) vs a credit card? This is our first trip to this part of the world and we want to make the process go smoothly. We are boarding the ship in Rome after spending 2 nights there after flying in early to avoid the holiday travel madness. Thank you in advance. Paul and Jaci Youshould be able to scan the QR code on the receipt on my post above. If that does not work, Google LivornoCitySightseeing. We used a credit card, I didn't see anyone paying in cash.
