csm5986142 Posted November 2, 2023 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2023 We will be on Jubilee for New Year's Eve 2023 (her second sailing). It wasn't planned that way but they had to cancel a bunch of earlier bookings.
Carguylee Posted November 3, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2023 January 6 2024. 3rd sailing since the original 5 cruises or so were canceled. Before this the 'newest' ship we have been on was probably 4-5 years old at the time.
roguebandit1441 Posted November 3, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2023 We are on the December 23rd sailing. Will be our first Christmas cruise, the wife just bought her Xmas pajamas, and getting her ugly Xmas sweater ready. Hope it's not canceled, looking forward to being able to go straight to our cabin being the first passengers on the ship should not need to wait until 1:30pm right? I'm wondering if we can board as soon as we check in, as thier will no passengers to disembark.

Not the exact same situation but similar - we were on the Breeze's first sailing after the 15 month shutdown, and they announced in the terminal prior to boarding, that cabins were ready and everyone could go directly to their rooms if they wanted. Also, in the past when we've been on a Christmas sailing, they passed out complimentary glasses of champagne when we boarded the ship (that was a few years ago, so not sure if they still do that). WLHyatt Posted November 4, 2023 #10 Share Posted November 4, 2023 We'll be on the first and second sailings back to back. We did not plan it that way but the cancellations worked in our favor.
ginger123snaps Posted November 6, 2023 #11 Share Posted November 6, 2023 I just booked Jubilee for Dec 30th sailing. I had no idea the first few sailings were cancelled. Looking forward to trying Jubilee. It's been a while since we sailed Carnival.

Okay, maybe there arent as many options as I thought there were. Some of the restaurants must not take reservations. Thank you for your response! Joebucks Posted November 8, 2023 #18 Share Posted November 8, 2023 Honestly, it doesn't look that different from Mardi Gras and Celebration. I REALLY enjoyed my Celebration cruise in January.
roguebandit1441 Posted November 8, 2023 #19 Share Posted November 8, 2023 New question all other carnival ships you board on deck 3 into the lobby. On the Jubilee deck plans I don't see a lobby, and deck 3 doesn't show on deck plans. So on what deck do you enter the ship, because climbing 3 stories of ramps to enter the ship is about the extent of my physical limitations. ginger123snaps Posted November 8, 2023 #21 Share Posted November 8, 2023 It's been so long since we sailed Carnival. We had Mardi Gras booked for Spring Break 2020 and then COVID! I have two cabins booked. We have the aft excel suite and a balcony for my teens (they are 16, 16, 15). Anybody that has sailed Mardi Gras/Celebration, please share you tips.
