We are on a completely different mindset, we like port days best but because there are less people on board. No crowds, can fit in any pool you want, no lines anywhere, and less competition at trivia. Found this out when had mobility issues and if we want beach or exploration vacation we just book a week at all inclusive resort.

Drinks On Us Everywhere --- now it's On Us Premium?
roguebandit1441 replied to Tom-n-Cheryl's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Don't know about drinks everywhere but drinks on us while gambling starts when the casino opens. I have only cruised out of Galveston. I really liked the Jubilee casino the craps table was on the no smoking side and you could smell the leather of the chairs, of course it was the first cruise. -
muster station on the Jubilee
roguebandit1441 replied to noslen3333's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
We were assigned F6 and was the last letter of muster station at the rear of the ship in the MDR. "A" muster was in the theater at the front. You do enter the ship on deck 6 and can walk the full length without needing to go around the galley on deck 3 like on other ships. -
What shows are on the Jubilee?
roguebandit1441 replied to CruiseMomTX's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Sorry don't have a show schedule, I'm sure it would not be normal as last week was Christmas and we had a lot of holiday shows. Only new shows stood out like "To My Future Husband" a show created by the performers only on the Jubilee, the Texas Tailgate Party on the lido deck(4 one hour quarters of games, song & dance) also only on the Jubilee. Not sure if "Rio" is new or "Soul Bound" are new or just new to us. With two stages ( the central stage, and the Jubilee theater) there was more shows than you can keep up with. Throw in 3 stand up comedians, with PG shows in the limelight lounge, and 18+ in the punchlines club it left little time for food and gambling. -
We were on in July and September and YTD is in the rear larger two level dining room. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of dining room.

We are actually the opposite of everyone else I guess, we like large tables with a lot of new friends to talk to. My joke is I've been married for over 32 years and don't have anything new to talk about with the wife.

New question all other carnival ships you board on deck 3 into the lobby. On the Jubilee deck plans I don't see a lobby, and deck 3 doesn't show on deck plans. So on what deck do you enter the ship, because climbing 3 stories of ramps to enter the ship is about the extent of my physical limitations.

We are platinum, but this will be the first sailing of a brand new ship, we will literally be the first passengers on the ship, the first ones to sleep in the bed, spend time in the cabin, and first ones to gamble in the casino, ect.,ect. I'm wondering if we can board as soon as we check in, as thier will no passengers to disembark.

We are on the December 23rd sailing. Will be our first Christmas cruise, the wife just bought her Xmas pajamas, and getting her ugly Xmas sweater ready. Hope it's not canceled, looking forward to being able to go straight to our cabin being the first passengers on the ship should not need to wait until 1:30pm right?

Vista casino DOU, no bar at casino?
roguebandit1441 replied to txgranny's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Just off the Vista two weeks ago and the bar service is by wait person only, and drinks are made in a room just off the casino by the craps table. And no special drink menu, but have gotten everything I wanted. -
Can we purchase a Fishbowl on Day One out of Galveston?
roguebandit1441 replied to mamiamjo's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Happen to have the special Texas drink menu available on the first day. Carnivals regular drink menu will not start until 6am the next day. If you have free drinks while gambling will apply because will be out of state waters when casino opens. Texas-Welcome-Menu(1).pdf -
Turning platinum while on cruise
roguebandit1441 replied to jayjay416's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I just completed my 73rd day 5 weeks ago and have a cruise in 2 weeks. Was checking as soon as we returned and did not receive credit for the cruise until 7 days after the end of the last cruise. Thier web site says can take up to a week to receive credit for previous cruise. Hope you are a exception to the normal, it was nice getting A01 boarding group for the first time. -
Don't like the aft balconies, the one time I had one my upstairs neighbors kept asking me to put on clothes.Lol no just kidding, don't like the lack of privacy with everyone above you can look into your balcony.

Got an upgrade offer on the Vista from deck 7 Havana, to deck 7 aft balcony, or deck 5 Havana balcony for $400(200pp). Though it was a great offer, what do yall think?

Look at AARP gift card limits, my advice is use the kiosk and deposit however much you want into your on board account. Don't by cruise cash as said before it not used not refundable. We charge to room and use gift card to pay balance on board, you don't need to use the full balance of the card if you don't want to. If you gamble you can move OBC to your casino account and then cash out at the casino cage. We bought a $500 e-gift card from AARP several weeks ago and paid off our Christmas cruise, put a deposit down on a 2025 cruise and still have over $250 left over to take on our Vista cruise this weekend. Will run that balance through the casino and if lucky will cash out more the $250. Have fun and enjoy your cruise.

Christmas cruises after paid in full date
roguebandit1441 replied to browerjs's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
We booked for the new Jubilee in June 2022, and just did a mock booking and that same interior cabin is $3500 more. I know it's now the inaugural cruise but that is a very large increase. -
Before you know it they'll start charging for the Coast Guard required MUSTARD DRILL before we can set sail.

Metal parts are no problem, when you have a spinal stimulator, pacemaker or other type of device with a battery implanted then you can't go through the medal detector. Been on 6 cruises and one international flight since installation and no one has ever asked for my card, they take my word for it and hand scan and pat me down.
