Hello Everyone and thank you in advance. I just booked the Glory with an offer that has "Drink on Us, included while playing in the casino for you and a companion"

Forgive my ignorance, but haven't gambled on a cruise yet, is this Vegas style where I have to be at the table or a slots or can I stroll past the casino bar and order a beer.

Thanks!

I don't know from direct experience, but It would seem to me that by the description of "drinks included while playing in the casino", the expectation is you would be playing at a table or a slot machine in order to qualify for the drinks.  I would guess that the free drinks is an enticement to get you spend money gambling.

This thread will likely be moved to the Carnival thread for better answers.

The rules are as stated but if there is a bar inside the actual casino, the bartender may take orders directly, at their discretion.  Sometimes service can be slow (servers swamped) and bartenders will use this as the reason for allowing service (when I asked bartender if if we could order at the bar).  Tip a couple bucks every time you order and they will remember you and it wont be an issue.....in my experience.   For ships without a bar inside the casino, you can walk into the casino and order from a server, dont think it will be an issue these days as casinos are so packed, many order while not playing at machine.  Once again, I don't 'bigtime', but I always tip $1-3 per drink and have never had an issue with service....playing at a machine, table, bar or just standing in casino.

That is what I usually do when I have that offer, tips go along way when getting drinks.

The program's title is very descriptive, and the terms of the deal are in the fine print. Reading is fundamental.

Some will say you can order from the bar, by the rules of the program you must be actively playing at a table or machine, so don't act surprised if the bartender tells you "no".
