Discovery versus Adventure

The ships have identical deck plans, but we prefer the decor and the speciality restaurants on Spirit of Discovery.  We have cruises booked on both ships, however, so it’s not a deal breaker for us.  Whatever you decide, I’m sure you will have an enjoyable cruise.

The deck plans are not quite identical and we have a preference for the Adventure because we prefer its speciality restaurants. We also have a preference for the Supper Club on Adventure because it does not have the open middle looking down on the main restaurant which is the case for The Club on Discovery. However, we are happy to sail on either ship.

Have sailed on both. The deck plans are the same apart from The Club. On SofD it has an open middle section looking down into the MDR below, which effectively resticts musical performances until after diners in tha latter have left. On SofA there is no open section, making The Club much bigger and allowing music at any time.

As regards decor, it is a matter of personal taste; SofD is more resrained, SofA more vibrant.

The main difference is as regards the speciality restaurants.

It is a personal choice. Only difference is in speciality restaurants.  Suggest you look at the menus online. See which suits you best. Two supper club menus are almost identical,  but layout of adventure without hole is better. But only you can decide between the other two sets of cuisines.

We are very happy to sail on either

All our cruises on Discovery got cancelled.

We did 2 on Adventure this year which were also on Discovery's itineraries SoA won because we preferred the dates, April & October rather than May & September. Glad we chose SoA as the Med would have been way too hot for us in Sept.

I don't know if you or others think the SofD decor has improved. When we were on her earlier this year (the first time since covid) the Grill in particular looked much brighter, we seemed to remember to Grill being very dull pastel colours. The main restaurant also seemed brighter than we remembered. Agree though that the decor on SofA is more vibrant.
