Can Excursion ticket be transferred?

If my friend’s husband does not wish to take an excursion can I use his ticket or does he have to cancel and I will book it.

 

It’s more expensive now so I’m hoping I can just use his ticket.

they very very rarely check the ticket names. you can give your shore excursion ticket to whoever

 

it might be issue if you need to sign a waiver to do the excursions then they might check names on the tickets with those that signed the waiver

If it is at CoCoCay, they don’t use paper tickets.  It is tied to your key card.

I have never once seen the name on an excursion ticket matched to a Sea Pass. They only really care about the number of tickets vs the number of participants.

I have never seen tickets checked for names.  They hardly look at them except to make sure it's for the correct excursion.

Some excursion operators have a list of names provided by the ship and they check you off as you check in.  But when this is done they match the ticket to the list, not any id.  And they use their list when people don't show up to try to locate the missing people.
