You get a “beeper” for the sandwiches. IMG_6447.thumb.jpeg.3b47c26aba0650502c2a9d50214989e0.jpeg

signature cinnamon roll (not pictured) was dry and cold. The Bacon Egg cheese sandwich had raw pieces of bacon in it. 🤢🤮

I opted for the “steak” sandwich (pictured). Just way too much “bread” for my liking.

positives… the sandwich was hot….👍

we love EDEN cafe...and the outdoor areas of EDEN.

Were any items offered with an upcharge?

you should look at Luminae menu before you book Retreat. It is somewhat adventuresome   You can choose the everyday classics, but the other selections are made with a twist. Some people complain "Nothing to eat!" but they are selective eaters

thanks for the tip…now I know where the eyeballs staring up at me came from! 😂

I did check the menu and see quite a few things is still be willing to eat or try, so all good here!

last nights dinner was La Petite Chef. I had done this experience on the Infinity during my Portugal  and Spain sailing earlier this year, but none of the others in our group had, and I enjoyed it enough to do it a second time.

the animation is really fun and the meal was actually good too, although, again… real lack of creativity with the dessert options. But I’ve beat that horse to death here, so I’ll move on. 😜

there are two menu options, the menu “extraordinare” follows the animation while the “other” menu just offers some alternates and the meal preparation animation  on the plate won’t match what you’re eating, but it’s still entertaining…..

We did this version in the Infinity in March, and it was a different menu.  All I remember is our entree was short ribs, and they were the best part.  In fact, I just went through my pictures (drat no menu pictures) and the food looks nothing like what you had.

@abbydancer I was also on infinity (may) and we had the short rib on ours … it was good, I’m going to see if I have a pic of that menu!

There are also 2 chairs and a table directly across from the cabana. Shaded, thankfully.

Yesterday was all about a little self care and a port spa special… thanks @schooner_Drinker Nancy for the tip in Puerto Plata, thankfully we will be stopping here in February of 2025 and I’ll have another chance to explore. Our friends got off and really liked this port stop.

Fitness center… lots of torture machines

May I ask what the big wood-framed square in the center of the picture is? It looks a little like a scoreboard... is it a screen? What is it?

I am obsessed with this photo  mainly because I can't recall the name..colors change regularly. It is  very cool

I bought a piece of jewelry on EDGE that depicted it.. Hope someone  has more info.. I may check the EDGE Art book..but I think it had a function besides art???

There we go 🍸 🥒 one of our favorites

Grant and I have at least 3 of these each when we sail on Royal at their 150 CP restaurant

Can you deviate from the menu or say have 2 of the same

Enjoy - Looks great - Which one was your favorite

Nancy 🍹

we did the choose “any” , customize your own…… also asked to add the French, which is my fave…. Absolute, chambourd, and pineapple.

sampled the lemon drop with lavender, (lavender  added a funny taste to an otherwise good drink) cosmo, cucumber, a toffee apple, and a snowflake……the toffee apple and snow flake beat out all the deserts this  week…. 10/10 😉

I am loving the  martini sampler. I've never seen that before.

Was delish…worth the $40 + grat upcharge…. It appeared on the planner as an “event” .?we showed up promptly at 4 pm, but it took awhile to get them to prepare after we ordered . We showed up silly tipsy to dinner since we had 30 minutes to pound these down. I recommend allowing some time to enjoy….

Hit the gift shop for one last visit…,was thoroughly impressed that Celebrity hosts this in an interior venue, with no fear of riots. The frenzied scene that appears on Royal on the promenade is disturbing at best…
