Questions About Harmony

Hello, everyone, we have an upcoming spring break cruise on the Harmony out of Galveston.  I have a few questions and would appreciate any feedback.  We have not sailed out of Galveston since 2016, the embarkation and debarkation were a real mess back then, has this improved ?  We have the three night specialty dining package and would like to know when the usual lobster night is so we know how to schedule our dinners.  Looking at the online deck plans, I don't see the Diamond lounge, is it in the Crown Lounge ?

Royal has its own terminal.  It is not where the old terminal used to be.  It is in the hospital district and it is usually an easy embarkation disembarkation.  There have been times when I have had to wait but not often.  Getting off is facial recognition where you don’t need your passport unless the facial recognition system is down.  The terminal is really nice and there is a parking lot where you can park and just walk to the terminal.  My husband drops me and the bags off, parks the car, walks back to me and we go in, up the escalators, check in and usually walk to the metal detectors and keep walking to the doors where we are scanned and walk to the bridge and on the ship.  Occasionally there might be a hiccup but not often.  I just keep my phone in my hand with my set sail pass for me and my husband and we are good.  I also never take our photos when I check in.  They are never accepted.  I let them take them at check in.  Takes a few seconds.

Wonderland was terrific. I was hesitant but well worth a visit. Also did izumi x 2 and Jamie's. So much good food.

Yes the  newly named crown lounge down on deck 4. Near the casino.

I'd say both embark and debark went well. I got off sunday after being on 3 weeks if you think of other questions.

We were on Allure out of Galveston last December. The new RCI terminal is really nice and flows well - from arrival and security through embarkation. Be sure to take some time to look at the incredible art in the terminal. Debarkation was just as smooth with luggage pickup and customs taking only a short time.

Thanks for all your replies.  My brother and I did Wonderland for dinner last December on the Anthem, so I know it good it is.  Our other picks will be Chop's and 150 Central Park.  Also having Chef's Table, which never disappoints.

Happy to hear the embarkation and disembarkation have been figured out.  We have been spoiled by Royal going out of the Florida ports.

Happy sailing, everyone.
