New Princess App available

The old app I select Payment Methods and Packages. Then I select the big Packages button. It says, "You currently do not have any packages. To learn more visit Guest Services or Visit Cruise Personalizer"

 

The new app has an "Onboard Packages" selection but it just takes me the page shown below. It's a bit ambiguous as I don't know if it's telling me I have Princess Plus and wants me to upgrade or if it's just trying to sell me the package. Note that the package it is describing is listed as "Plus Beverage Package w/Juice Bar-60" and the initial "Princess Plus" next to the "UPGRADE" button is not  listed as "Plus-50" which is what I actually have.

EDIT: Okay, I just went ahead and pressed the big "UPGRADE" button. It takes me to a page where I can upgrade but it actually does have a large "PURCHASED" button with a note below it saying some items may not be included in my package. Apparently it is recognizing that I have the "old" Plus. Big improvement on the old app that plainly says I have no package.

We finally downloaded the new app for our mid February cruise. We are ocean ready green on the old app. Sure enough I am 6 out of 7 on the new app. Wife is 7 out of 7. When she looks at her app, I am the one 7 out of 7, she is 6 out of seven. 

   Recapping what I have read so far, it seems most are not going to approve the on-shore credit card, and as long as they have their medallion ordered and delivered, they are not going to even worry about. That is how I am going to handle it. Am I missing something.

    Where on the new app do you find print travel summary or print luggage tags like the old one.

   Also, we got a reserve class room. Where do we find our boarding time. I can not find it on either app.

I can't find where to print the travel summary or luggage tags either. However I always print them from the Personalizer. Boarding times are not allocated any more However the Travel Summary states when boarding commences.

Yes, I'm aware that the Personalizer - and my Travel Summary - clearly show the package I purchased. It's just stupid that they can't make the app function properly. They should have taken it to a local University and had it presented as a class project. Most likely it would have been running smoothly long ago.

Our cruise in Dec showed we did not have a package in the old app. From reading these boards I was pretty sure it would correct itself once connected to the ship's wifi. And that was exactly what happened. I printed out my travel summary just in case, but it was a non issue once on board. I hope it works this way for everyone concerned about not seeing their package showing on the old or new app.

Mine looks exactly like your screenshot does and I have the newer plus. It looks like you have the new plus.

I have 2 different accounts, but not medallion numbers. No idea what happened.

I’m still going to wait until the next version come out before I start playing with it.  Reading everyone concerns are frustrating enough. With everyone concerns I would think the next update will be at the end of this month before they close off the old app.

Agree with that. There will very likely be a stable release once the masses, us, get finished with the impromptu beta testing.

Here's our experience today.  Booked a cruise online (web).  Started check-in on NEW app.  The credit card section would not show a save button and would not move forward with that step of the process.  So, logged into the OLD app.  Credit card section worked. 

 

Next, order medallion's.  Log into the NEW app and the "ship to home" was gray.  SO, log into the OLD app.  Ship to home completed.  Green lane confirmed.

 

Next up, MDR dining.  Upgraded to Premier on the web.  Then, log into NEW app.  Tried to make a standing reservation for all days of the cruise in MDR.  I could not see how to do that.  SO, OLD app it is.  Made MDR reservations for the whole cruise. 

 

Next up, specialty dining for Premier.  Log into NEW app.  Made first reservation, charge was $0.  Try to make second reservation, it was charging me.  So, OLD app... make second specialty dining reservation, $0.  Yay.

 

This cruise leaves in a month, I'm now green lane, medallions are ordered, dining is booked.  Hopefully the new app gets a few more things straightened out before they discontinue it.

I am with you. I hope they leave the old app around longer than they have said.  I like the new app, but since I do not want to approve the shore side credit card, it more or less does not show me as ocean ready, and does not allow me to see all my details.

   If they somehow fix that credit card approval situation that causes the 6 out of seven check marks , I would probably only open and use the new app .

Not really "concerned". More like just shaking my head. It doesn't really matter what the new app says. I know what I have and all will be well onboard.

We had the 50 package last June.  Thought we had the special juice included  but when I scanned my Medallion at the juice bar, the crew member told me that juice wasn't in my Plus package.  Should have known as juice wasn't listed under Onboard Services or the Travel Summary.  Senior moments gets me all the time.  Don't go by the apps as mine always has some sort of bad data.

I just downloaded the new app to do our check-in for upcoming cruise, still have the old app, too. When I got to the payment section, I did not fill in the shoreside part, just hit "Continue later." So I do not have a check by Payments. I then went to the old app - it also has a Shoreside tab in the payments section but just has an "Exit" box that I tapped without filling in information. The old app has my Payments section with a checkmark!

The “new” plus will show Plus Beverages + Juice bar

@Thrakour “New App” looks the same but my personalizer shows plus juice bar. I hope they get things straightened out soon so people know exactly what’s going on with their bookings. We may know, but others may be confused.

can anyone who DOESNT have plus/premier, confirm they have a different icon? (One without a + or a *)

We DO have Plus but we don't have any symbol at all on that screen in the new app.
