I cut them up because they drop whole apples into the sand. Our bag we received in our cabin. No CO bag. I love those canvas bags. I have a bunch old ones. I don't like the plastic ones they've been giving out in the past few years.

Rare ottahand7 Posted January 6 Author #80 Share Posted January 6 (edited) Good morning from sunny Falmouth Jamaica. We are going ashore to shop. We had a lovely dinner in the very full Tamarind last night with cocktails in the Tamarind bar first. John had tuna nigiri, tenderloin, mushrooms and yuzu cheesecake. I had a Nami soft shell crab, shrimp tempura and crispy duck, all delicious. Edited January 6 by ottahand7

NCTribeFan Posted January 6 #84 Share Posted January 6 I definitely am looking forward to having dinner in Tamarind again. So they're still giving out 150th Anniversary tote bags! Here I thought I had something that was going to be a collectible! 🤣 I had to ask for mine when I was actually ON the 150th Anniversary TA in April on Rotterdam. I had CO so got three of those (B2B2B) and left 2 behind. I requested the 150th bag from my steward and received one when I got my tiles. I'm heading to the airport in about 30 minutes. We're having some weather here but it appears my plane is coming up from FLL on time so, hopefully, there won't be any issues with the heavy rain and high winds that was forecast. Sailing tomorrow on Carnival Magic then boarding Eurodam on the 13th for an unusual side-to-side that includes changing ports as well as ships on the same day. I only have Social wi-fi on both sailings so probably won't be able to keep up with the rest of your journey after we board tomorrow, but I do have T-Mobile, so have data while in port. I'll try to check here for updates.
Rare ottahand7 Posted January 6 Author #85 Share Posted January 6 (edited) I bet we will get another one next week. New cabin new bag. I have seen no traditional CO bags. We will see you aboard on the 13th. Safe travels. 🛳️🏝️ Edited January 6 by ottahand7

bandect Posted January 6 #88 Share Posted January 6 Thanks for all of the info! We board on 23 Jan and will be on until 24 Feb. Looking forward to 'warmth'! We have a pretty big snow storm coming through tonight! The menu pics of the specialty restaurants are very helpful. Are they doing any 'Gala' or dressy nights? We also love the Spa Area on HAL! See everyone soon! B&E

There is a Meet and greet scheduled from our Roll Call on February 4 at 11:15 hosted by Crew News.

Rare ottahand7 Posted January 7 Author #92 Share Posted January 7 Good evening. A good room service dinner but sadly with a Ravens loss. It was so nice to have the luxury of space to dine being able to look at the TV. I was pleased with the temperature and quality of my room service meal. John had a Club Sandwich extra bacon with a side of mayo. Came with a large pile of chips and Cole slaw, exactly as ordered. I had the salted fish fritters, not fishy at all and the Flat Iron Steak with Chimichurri and Polenta, ordered rare and cooked perfectly. My dessert was the sugar free almond fruit cake. Very pleased and loved the convenience.

Rare ottahand7 Posted January 7 Author #96 Share Posted January 7 We are getting a complimentary Pinnacle Grill dinner due some misfortune on John's part. He is an early riser and was watching the day's first light when he began to get wet. It was water bouncing off the balcony railing from above. The crew cleaning the Seaview pool deck dropped the running hose over the edge. John got a photo once it turned off and complained. Everyone should let management know when things create problems. A lesser problem is our favorite waiter in the Lido keeps getting a new area assigned each day, as do all the other waiters. He knows I want decaf, John regular and can bring us fruit John craves from the back. Next up I will request they keep the waiters in the same area through the comments section on the Navigator app.
Rare ottahand7 Posted January 7 Author #97 Share Posted January 7 On the topic of Starlink wifi it has been very dependable and working well throughout the ship. We have the surf package and it gets me to where I need to go and I have had some YouTube links open, probably dependent on the length.

Let us know how the transfer goes. Will the room steward move your bags, etc to your new room? Did you pack everything all up or do they just bring a luggage cart and the hanging things etc stay out of bags... How will they be handling the B2B cruisers between the cruise etc. We are 3 segments with a different room on each! (We booked all 3 at different times that's why.) (PS: We have done B2B before but always with the same room.) Thanks! B&E
Rare ottahand7 Posted January 7 Author #99 Share Posted January 7 (edited) It goes really smoothly. We pack up all toiletries and valuables and put folded clothes in our suitcase. Our steward will put them on a cart with all the hanging clothes and deliver to our new cabin. We had done this once before on the Volendam when we did one week in a ocean view and then moved to our balcony cabin. We are supposed to get a letter about the entire process, such as close out casino account and any unused on board credit. A beautiful sight.❤️ Edited January 7 by ottahand7
