Smooth flight to IAH. Arrived 20 early. Dinner at hotel $18.5 for chicken wings. Private shuttle picking us up at 0900. 
 

wife says her first stop wlll be haven bar for a very strong drink.

About an hour ride from HOU to Galveston.  Traffic was not an issue.

Looking forward to following along.  You two @RocketMan275 and @graphicguy are in for a treat.  Prima is an intriguing ship.  It's a beautiful and state of the art ship.  Lots of really good  things but many design flaws leading to a variety of observations and opinions. 

 

I am thinking you both will really enjoy your cruise.  Not because you are both in the haven but because you have both done your research and know what to expect.  But as unpredictable as reactions to the Prima are you never know.  Looklng  forward to rehashing memories of one of the most interesting ships we have been on during the next week.

Wanted to give a special shout out to Galveston Saltwater Moms.  Small family transport run mainly by….well…a local Mom…Lori.  On time, pleasant, nice vehicle, competitive pricing (albeit cash only), great communication.  Highly recommended!

I'm excited to see the Galveston embarkation process for Haven guests. Is there signage outside? is there a different place to drop luggage or just one luggage drop?  is it after a general everyone security check? those kinds of things!  also the $9.95 messaging between people on the ship? is it in the NCL app and shows up once you are on the ship? or is it a separate app?    Thanks so much  in advance.

And….had to take the Air BnB ride to the port.  Don’t like getting to the port this early.  This is why.   But, Air BnB to the Have waiting area…15 mins.

First things first..

Boarding..my “rule of thumb” still holds true.  Getting to the port before about 10:30 and you’re in for a wait….in a crowded waiting area!

 

We are on board the Haven.  But, we are the first to board.  Probably be another 15-20 minutes for the rest of the cabins.  So, let’s call it 11:00 a.m. for the crowd to thin.  

 

Shoot for 11 to get to the pier  checkin and walk on board!
