Hello!

 

The cheers package is included for 1 VIFP member in the promotion I booked.  My question is, is it possible to purchase the package just for my mom who is a 1st timer prior to departure so I can utilize the 10% discount?

The Cheers package is required for all person's in same cabin that are over 21.  Is she in your cabin? You should be able to see the beverage package under your cruise planner.  I would perhaps call one of the vacation planners if you cannot see it on the website.

Yes she can. If its the Casino package where I get drinks throughout and she gets drinks in the casino. I just pay to upgrade her.

How do you pre-order Cheers for just one cruiser in the cabin?

When booked under a casino offer that included a Drinks On Us Everywhere for the gambler, there is a singular exception  to the "all must purchase CHEERS".  Once onboard, never prior, the other adult can buy CHEERS onboard just for themselves.  There is no pay to upgrade.

Unfortunately, you can't purchase it for yourself. We run into this issue quite often recently where one of us gets DOU everywhere and the other does not. I even called and spoke to someone at the Fun Shops on Carnival's 800 number and they don't even have a way to override it.  You will just have to pay the going rate and wait until you board the ship and either go to guest services or to a bar and have a bar manager get you the Cheers package.
