You could go find the roll call for the next cruise on the ship you're curious about and ask people there to report when they get the chance.

You could also go to the 2024 officers and crew thread in this forum to see who was on ships at some point so far this year.

when are you sailing?

captains come and go.

whoever the captain is now, might not be the captain at the time of your sailing.

is there a specific reason you want to know in advance who the captain is?

When you are on board a ship, somewhere there is a picture board listing all of the current Senior Officers- names and their country of origin.

Are you looking for someone in particular?

Welcome to Cruise Critic

Which ship and sailing date?

Captains usually do something like 4 months on / 2 months off.

Also you can look through the following:

Captains, Staff Captains and Chief Engineers work a 10 week on, 10 week off schedule.  Other Senior Officers ( Hotel General Managers, Food and Beverage Directors and others) are 4 months on and 2 months off.
