I also thought pozole is the the normal non-tripe counterpart that uses chicken and pork instead. But what do I know? You're right. Menudo contains tripe, posole uses pork or chicken. Hominy is part of either dish.

Lessening its effects is a common topic in this forum when clearly the "common sense approach" would be to not cruise and those who keep getting sea sick "obviously deserve" it. After a "few experiences" they should know to stay on land. Anyone who cruises runs the risk of rough weather. Anyone who consumes alcohol runs the risk of having one too many. Knowing how to mitigate the effects of sea sickness and a hangover is good information to know if you cruise and no one should be judgmental about either topic. I have never drank with the intention of having one too many. But I have had one too many, many times. There's a very fine line between happily drunk, having a great time, and having one too many. I suspect if I know when the one too many point comes, I am.notnhappily drunk and having that great time, probably because I am spending too much time thinking about it. I need a drink after that 1

StollyBolly Posted February 14 #57 Share Posted February 14 This is a great thread. I wondered about the question, but some of the information is useful and fun!
rodndonna Posted February 19 #58 Share Posted February 19 Where were all you folks and your great advice when I was younger?? We're a little past the hangover years now, but one thing I now use at times when I feel I am not drinking enough water is to use the little bottles of Mio "water enhancer" that you can buy in any grocery store. They also have "Sport" versions have electrolyes and essentially another alternative to having Gatorade.
