DW and I both got Blue Chip offers.  Picked a cruise and called Blue Chip to book two cabins.  Call was answered after one ring.  Person in other end was cheerful and very helpful.  Preferred date was available and soon both cabins were booked.

Haven’t seen this in a long while….

How fantastic.

If you don't mind me asking - do you gamble a lot.  Some people seem to get offers and others never get offers!  If it sounds like jealousy - you're not wrong!

We are mere Onyx and Amethest level.

Last year we got or should I say my DW got free cruises through the blue chip club. Since the first of the year we only get $200 off a room through Blue Chip.

Was your Blue Chip offer for a free room? Not to be nosey. Just curious.

Congrats by the way.

Offer was for a free veranda on a shorter cruise or ocean view on longer cruise on newer ships.  Free except for taxes and port fees.

Go to bluechipcluboffers.com and put in your blue chip membership number and check out what offers you have.  I also call to see if other dates might be available.  The offers are usually for inside or ocean view for us(not big players at all).  We did book a Bermuda cruise and we paid an additional $100 for veranda.  Total for taxes, etc. and veranda charge came to $635. During Covid years the offers were more generous and often - not anymore as the cruise line has plenty of customers.  Hope this works out for you.

There may be offers on May 1, 2024 for Honolulu to Vancouver, as prices have dropped immensely!  Of course, just in case you, or anyone else may be interested!

Also, are there ever offers in Europe?  I do not cruise the Caribbean or Bermuda etc.  Thanks!

I was recently on the Ascent and I got a Blue chip free cruise certificate. Being in the UK for us to go to the USA costs a lot so we looked at the list and there were a few cruises in Europe which are a lot easier for us to get to. So we have booked a week of Greek Islands for August.

Please explain what you mean.  How did you get a Blue chip free cruise certificate.  Never heard of these?  How did you enjoy your cruise?

The Ascent was fabulous. I play a fair bit in the casino but I wouldn't describe myself as a high roller.

On the last night I was advised by the casino hostess that I had been awarded a free cruise through the Blue Chip Club.

It is not the greatest deal for those in the UK as the cruise has to be taken within 6 months and as we are doing a 13 night cruise around Japan in May, we couldn't really do another cruise before August so I opted for one from Athens.

If you are in the USA it is a brilliant deal because so many of the cruises on the list that you can get online from the blue chip club go from US ports. Also a number of the cruises were for inside or oceanview cabins and I will only sail in a balcony cabin.

Anyway it is not the cruise that I would have taken but even with flights it still works out a cheap holiday and I cancelled a holiday (non cruise) that I had booked for September so it works for us.

I will be interested to see if I get another one offered after my Japan cruise.

Is the Blue Chip membership number different than your Captains Club number? I used to get some offers as well during the Pandemic but no more. I’m only Pearl status.

same number

That’s so interesting. Thank you for telling me. I know it’s none of my business just interested!  On the Ascent this Sunday. Very excited.

Celebrity's Casino Program is being administered by parent company Royal Caribbean's Casino Royale Department. At the present time they are two separate programs and no announcement has been made of any changes, but I would bet that eventually the programs will merge. In any case Blue Chip Club has started to implement some of the same casino gambling incentives as Royal's Casino Royale program. One of them is if you earn a certain threshold of points in the casino you will get a cruise cruise certificate towards the end of the cruise. The cabin type depends on how many points you earned. The way it works is the certificate is good for a certain list of cruises that's only good for 6 months (Royal's program goes out for 12) and there are other qualifications. This free cruise certificate is NOT the same as the emailed and/or postcard mailings of BCC complementary sailings. They are two different incentives and the certificate will have sailings that the emailed offers don't.
