I'd love to hear about these new entrants to the luxury category.

You know where we are….and ask my wife as she’ll give you another opinion

We did a 3 weeks on her last September and loved it - things that are important to us like ambience and physical attributes, dining and service were amongst the best we’ve experienced. Entertainment has some room for important but is fine and some of the guest entertainers and speakers are the same as on other luxury lines

The Explorer lounge (similar to Palm Court) is a nice spot to while away the days at sea and the coffees good in Crema cafe

For those who like pools and hot tubs or even just sitting poolside there are several around the ship - both indoor and outdoor

We are booked for 26 days on her next year and will be happy to return

.That's nice, because good food is really important to me;  my last 2 cruises were somewhat lacking in the service sector (didn't ruin the cruise, but were not what I was hoping for).

You know me......entertainment isn't a big issue, but food and service are

please read my review  :failure of luxury

last month Explora did downgrade the complimentary Champagne and the welcome Champagne unless you are in a residence    - it is also wrong to call the bigger suites" penthouse" as what regular cruise pax  qualify as a penthouse is on Explora a residence

so no butler and other niceties usually granted on a penthouse on Explora.

also if Explora ran out of something,  from butter over mineral water to cranberry juice , they are not buying local but simply are waiting until the next container is delivered

during my cruise : no sparkling water Pellegrino for 5 days    and  last days no unsalted butter , so salted butter on rolls and croissants ???

The horror!!🙃

I enjoy vistaman's posts even if his standards are "higher" than about 99% of all luxury cruisers.
