Laundry in cruise

We will be sailing one week in Sapphire in June. How the self service laundry to be used? Should we bring coins and detergent from home or use creditcards? What is the cost of using the self service laundry and dryer?

You charge to your Medallion and it dispenses tokens.

detergent is sold through the same manner.

I think it is $3.00 for each.

We always travel with our preferred choice, which is tide pods for the laundry, then just charge the machine use to your on board account via the medallion very easy….hint some ships not all try the machine first they might be work without needing any tokens.

Agree with other comments.  I bring Tide pods rather than using the stuff from the machine.

I use one pod per load.  Works like a charm.

We brought sheet detergent and dryer sheets as I need unscented. As others said, you get tokens, $3 each, charged to your onboard account. One token per load.

Recently discovered sheet detergent--those & dryer sheets take up so little space! (and work well)

I booked a room (D627) Regal princess very near laundry room. Can anyone tell me if it will be too busy/ too loud because of the laundry room? Does the laundry room stay open all night? Thanks.

You ought not be disturbed.  Laundy opens at 0800 and closes, I think, about 1800.  Definitely not an all day affair.

Currently on Discovery and washers and dryer are free. The token slides are not even installed.
