Earliest disembark on Harmony in Galveston

Hi - is planning to disembark Harmony with our bags by 730am reasonable in Galveston?  Booked a 12:15 flight out of IAH and want to make that flight.  Budgeting 2 hours to get to the airport, though it should take less than 1.5.

We got off about 745 and walked almost straight out. 730 we would have waited in line longer so waited a bit to join the line. Was out of the terminal by no later than 8:15 but your experience could vary. Might have been a bit before, but very fast. Facial recognition.

Agree with Firefly. We've sailed out of Galveston a few times and have done self-disembark, we're out of the terminal and in our car by 8am. Leaving early also helps keep you in front of traffic. Have a great cruise!

Just a little bit of a warning, we were once stuck out in the channel due to high winds and barely made a 2:00 flight from Hobby (much closer than IAH). There is also sometimes a fog issue in Galveston.  99% of the time, you will make it but be prepared to go with an alternate plan if you don’t (later flight, possible overnight with a next day flight)

Yes thanks for this.  I did book flights that allow changes if we are delayed just in case!  Hope the weather will be cooperative for us in late April

Spoke to a local company in Galveston that does transporting to the airport and she told me that Royal is really good with getting most passengers off the ship by 9 a.m. 

Facial recognition technology has really helped speed along the process.

What time should we arrive at parking lot for noon arrival?  Didn’t know how long it would take to get parked and to terminal or if it would be ok to arrive at check in a little early.

Arrival/check in times are usually not enforced at most ports.

It depends on where you're parking. If you're parking at the cruise terminal within walking distance the Harmony, 15 minutes earlier will do it. If you're parking at one of the lots farther away require you to take a shuttle bus, 30 minutes earlier should be fine. Galveston is not that big and the traffic is not bad.
