mcoler181 Posted March 15 #1 Share Posted March 15 The wife has just hit Diamond status, we are sailing in YC for the first time on Virtuosa in June, is it worth skipping a YC dinner for one of the speciality restaurants. We are only doing 5 nights and as we haven't done YC before not sure whether to miss one of the dinners or not.

You can however do lunch instead which is a nice way to try one of the speciality restaurants. Your butler can arrange this for you once onboard.

We ate at the steakhouse one night, and the filet mignon was delicious, a thicker cut than those served in YC. We also checked the menu in YC to make sure we weren’t missing one of our favorite dishes!

xcell Posted March 18 #5 Share Posted March 18 You can always eat twice.... I'd try something different that you can't get in the YC, like the asian or tacos.
JT1962 Posted March 18 #6 Share Posted March 18 Butcher’s Cut is excellent and definitely worth trying, whether for lunch or dinner.
aero777 Posted March 19 #7 Share Posted March 19 Assuming the Diamond meal a set menu, can you upgrade your steak at Butchers Cut?

I believe you can choose an entree off the a la carte menu and pay half price for it (excluding the tomahawk steak).
