fwd verandah location

We are booked on K'dam 7046 which is fwd verandah.  Upon research this cabin might look straight down to orange life boats.  We want to stay at deck 7 or 8 fwd to be close to greenhouse spa and observation deck. We were advised to stay away from deck 10 which is close to greenhouse spa but the balcony is even smaller than other standard verandah cabins.

The life boats are two decks below you, and run along much of each side of the ship. They only hinder your view if your are trying to look straight down the side of the ship. To avoid them, you need to go very far forward,  or most of the way aft.

This cabin does not look down on a lifeboat, as can be seen by lining up the stairwells. It is close to the most forward lifeboat. As Bruce said, there's really nothing to seen there. The lifeboat is actually three decks below you. I think it's unlikely you will experience the "orange glow" that some pax one deck up complain about.
