Regal Princess Door Decorations

We were on the Emerald for a 15 day cruise last month.  The door signs were present but not in a large number.  Our steward did not mention at any time about door signs being not permitted.  So not sure about the "fleet wide policy".  We sail again this fall and will see

if it is enforced at that time and ship.

I'm thinking that it was just on one ship by a irritated manager.

Thankfully most people are reasonable when applying decorations.

Just got off the Regal last Friday after 28 days.

Our 1st room steward explicitly told us no door decorations.

We moved for the 2nd leg (twice actually, due to very loud mechanical hum in 1st room of 2nd leg). Neither of those stewards said anything.

THAT BEING SAID--I saw plenty of door decorations.

(Surprised no one has started this thread already...)

Sailing the Regal next week & have seen the Thread on Regal banning Door Decorations AND saying it is a new fleet-wide policy.

I find it interesting that there are no posts saying this from other ships.

Curious--is it REALLY a new fleet-wide policy?
My take is whoever decided this on the Regal (perhaps a knee jerk reaction to Princess corporate boarding this last weekend?) told the crew it was a fleet-wide policy so that is what passengers were told. ("Hey, not our idea...sorry!")

Obviously this is just a theory--but the fact that no one on other ships has complained about this here is surprising.

Curious if anyone sailing other ships can concur.

Thanks!

(Funny...I don't even do door decor...but curiosity & all...🫠)

We were on Emerald for 15 days in April, 2024. No one said anything about our door magnet.
