purplecow15 Posted April 3 #1 Posted April 3 Just starting my research. We plan to get private transport from Civitavecchia port to FCO. From some of my readings, it seems that some have permission to pick up passengers right at the dock while others do not have the license to enter the port itself and we would have to make our way to exit for pick-up. Is this correct? If so how do I figure out which transportation service is best to book? TIA
-Lew- Posted April 3 #2 Posted April 3 We have used RomeCabs for airport and port transfers for years and have always received excellent service. They are well regarded by many on this forum.
CruiserBruce Posted April 3 #3 Posted April 3 Most, if not all, of the recommended vendors here, like the wonderful Rome in Limo, (huge thread just down the board), have the required permits to access the port.
Rare cruisemom42 Posted April 3 #4 Posted April 3 If it's not clear on their website, just email them and ask. I think almost all of the frequently recommended vendors are allowed inside the port. Including some that are shared shuttles.
