Thanks for your helpful post. I'm not sure how I feel about the "bus stop" sailings. There's certainly an advantage to embarking and disembarking at the port of your choice. But I can't get a real sense of how disruptive that might feel during the cruise.

I actually find it to be a better experience! With only a small portion of passengers embarking/disembarking the process is a lot faster. When we boarded in Genoa, exiting our cab the stevedores saw that we were YC and immediately escorted us to where the YC crew and lounge were. Our documents were checked and we were probably in the Top Sail lounge in less than ten minutes. Nice short presentations by the Concierge and YC Director, then escorted to our stateroom. Probably 1/2 hour total.

Thanks. Your comments have me warming up to the idea.

@RichYak  Just seeing this.

Somewhere in the vastness of this Board there was a post showing the number or YC cabins and the number of crewmembers assigned to the YC on each ship.  The ratio's of crewmember to YC stateroom is much better (higher) on the smaller ships.

As you know we did our first YC cruise on Divina, the oldest and smallest, and never felt crowded in any of the YC venue's.  The fullest we ever saw the Top Sail Lounge was for the officers reception and High Tea.  Le Muse was hit or miss with regards to crowding but we never waited more than a minute or two before being seated, and usually that was because the hostess was seating someone at the time we arrived.

I want to try one of the mid-sized ships but my wife needs further convincing as she was not a fan of the food, which is not unusual for her.

The YC on the World Europa is to small for the amount of cabins also the service was not good as on other ships, so I will sail next year in a normal cabin and pay with the money an other cruise on an other ship.
Really the venues are too small for the more than 150 cabins. The restaurant, the TSL and the new grill on the deck were to crowded and small.

Thank you. This is exactly the kind of information I'm looking for.
