cusematt4 Posted April 16 #1 Share Posted April 16 Hi all, We are looking forward to our first ever trip to Alaska. There are 4 of us. Currently we have a transfer with Princess from the anchorage airport to hotel captain cook. This is during the day around noon. I just realized the transfer is $136 for the 4 of us. It is only a 10 minute ride based on google maps. It seems we could get an Uber xl for $20. Is Uber ok to use? It seems he’d to justify an extra $100 for a 10 minute ride when Ubers and Lyfts should be available in peak season in June. Thank you.
Northern Aurora Posted April 16 #2 Share Posted April 16 Goggle maps seem to be highly inaccurate in Alaska. Your taxi ride from the Anchorage airport to the Captain Cook will be around twenty minutes. uber is now legal in Alaska. There was an issue with our wage and hours laws which had to be modified so Uber could legally operate. Taxis will also be available outside of baggage claim. AKJonesy Posted April 16 #3 Share Posted April 16 Taxi's are right outside baggage claim cross over via the pedestrian walkway. https://dot.alaska.gov/anc/travelerInfo/taxiSrvcs.shtml
