British Isles cruise: Can we gamble?

I'm looking at a 12-day British Isles cruise that looks interesting, but the ship pretty much hugs the coast of Great Britain. Do they manage to get far away enough from shore to open the casino?

If at all possible, you can bet the Captain will take the ship into international waters so the casino $$$$$$$$$ can operate.

I believe they only have to go about 12 miles off shore to be considered international waters.

In the United States, you need to be 12 miles off the coast, whereas in the UK, you need to have embarked on a journey into international waters.

I think in places in the UK maybe 3mile. But either way, they can get far enough out to gamble.

Yes it will be open X amount of minutes after sailing.

We went on a British Isles cruise with Princess in May 2018 and the casino was open every night.

No worries, the Casino will be open and happy to welcome you and your investments. My DH got plenty of gambling time in the evenings on our British Isles cruise, although he was one of only a small handful of craps players. He managed to close the table down a few evenings rolling in to our cabin just a few hours before I made him rise and shine for another full day of touring on our very port intensive cruise. But he was a good sport and I allowed him to snooze in the tour vans between stops! 😁

Considering I recently got an offer for a free British Isles cruise through Player's Advantage, I am pretty sure they expected me to gamble onboard!

Looks like we are getting the same offers. I was thinking about the 16-day Britain and Iceland cruise, but the 12-nighter looks more interesting, even though it will wear me out.

The 12 night is a great cruise and we loved it but the port intensive schedule takes stamina. We did it following 4 fully action packed days in London, and we saw and did so much that I sometimes still wonder how we fit it all in. It was exhausting, but so worth it. One of our best travel experiences ever!
