Currency on board

I am booked on my first P&O cruise  - Arcadia - Spain and France - in 2025.   It will be departing from Southampton. As I haven’t cruised on P&O before I’m wondering what currency is used on board Sterling or Dollars?

Everything is in sterling.

The ship is cashless and will charge your card in Sterling.

Just as an aside - you can also obtain foreign currency from reception and have it charged to your onboard account.

You can also obtain sterling cash which is charged to your account. No extra charges.

Definitely don't buy currency on board.  The rate is a total rip off.

But can work out cheaper if you only want a small amount - and I would not say a "rip off" just not as competitive as some other exchange rates.
