Diamond Plus dining discount question

If we’re going to use our BOGO, we go to the restaurant when we board and ask them to make an exception to using it the first 2 days and they’ve always let us use it on any day we’d like.

The last Celebrity we were not Diamond +.  Any drinks in Captain's Club lounge or just what is the matching drink situation...we have 2 Ascent cruises coming up.

What we’ve been told with the BOGO.  Book for any day in the first 2 days.  They will go ahead and charge you at the time you book so it looks like you used it the first 2 days for accounting purposes. But we’ve actually dined further into the cruise with reservations made the first two days. Most of the time we’ve also been able to book Izumi with it.  YMMV on certain ships.
